Welcome to The Boomerangs at Johanna on the Great Ocean Road offering 3 very special and very private romantic cottages. This is Great Ocean Road accommodation with a twist. These three, boomerang shaped cottages are about Australian as you will find. In fact you won’t find anything similar anywhere else in the country. Three award winning, architect designed, boomerang shaped cottages offer guests something which is a little out of the ordinary. Set within three acres of magical, landscaped gardens the cottages provide guests with sensational, forest, valley and ocean views. The cottages are very private and can accommodate four people comfortably. Each cottage has two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. A fifth person can be accommodated for if required.

Architecturally designed, the cottages blend in with the natural colours of the area. Birdlife is prolific and there are now numerous breeds of birds which call the gardens home. You can rest assured they will all be visiting your cottage on a regular basis.

This is a great spot for a few restful days away. Come down and put your feet up and just soak up the ambience of Johanna. Do nothing, go for long walks on the beach, visit some of our local attractions, go for short walks on the beach, have a barbecue, dine out at a local restaurant or the local tavern which is only 10 minutes away. Chef meals at pub prices! There is also the possibility for you to have a massage in the comfort of your own cottage. We recommend a stay of at least 2 nights. Anything less will disappoint. We are perfectly positioned to enable our customers to take full advantage of all that this spectacular area has to offer.

The Great Ocean Road weaves its way along this rugged and beautiful Victorian coastline in Australia from Torquay through to the world famous 12 Apostles. In all it’s almost 300 kilometres long! The road was built by nearly 3000 soldiers returning from The Great War. It took our soldiers 14 years to complete the road. It is dedicated to their fallen comrades. As you drive along this world famous stretch of coast you will find small seaside villages, simply awe inspiring coastline and some of the best beaches in the country. Base yourself at The Boomerangs to explore sections or all of this fascinating area. Recover each evening in luxury accommodation and ready yourself for the following day’s activity. We can easily arrange a shuttle service for you if you are considering doing sections of the Great Ocean Walk.

Temperate rainforests, waterfalls, exquisite walks, deserted beaches, the 12 Apostles, the Otway Fly and the Cape Otway Lightstation are all just a short drive away. At home in the cottages – let nature reveal herself to you!
